Friday 18 October 2024

On October 15-16, 2024, UTNT, formerly known as Infranum, brought together key players in digital infrastructure and telecommunications in Strasbourg. With 1,500 visitors and 80 exhibitors, this year’s event focused on pressing industry issues and innovations shaping the future.

A Trade Show Dedicated to Networks and Telecommunications

UTNT has become an essential event for professionals in the network industry. This year, the conferences highlighted the following themes:

  • Infrastructure resilience in the face of climate change: As extreme weather events become more common, solutions to adapt networks to new environmental demands were a key focus of discussion.
  • Transition to full-fiber networks and the phasing out of copper networks by 2030: As the copper network nears its end of life, burying new infrastructures remains a priority to ensure the stability and longevity of network systems.

Spotlight on Reducing the Carbon Impact of Networks

The carbon footprint of the telecommunications sector was also a central theme this year. In partnership with Infranum and the FTTH Council Europe, UTNT announced a new study to measure and reduce carbon emissions in the industry—a crucial topic as ecological transition efforts accelerate.

Thanks and Future Outlook

We extend our sincere thanks to the many visitors and partners who took the time to visit our booth. This show was an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our connections with key industry players and share perspectives on tackling the challenges ahead.
