Our achievements

The GRDF call for tenders for this project was of particular interest to us, both due to the close proximity of the worksite to our company’s location and as an opportunity to refine or validate our on-site procedures with regard to new techniques—specifically the geotextile wrapping of HDPE gas pipes. We can confidently state that this project aligns with our company’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach, for which we are currently undergoing certification. The rural location of the worksite proved particularly well-suited for the wrapping process. Following this phase, we were able to complete the coupling sleeves between each reel prior to the intervention of the MARAIS trencher, which is equipped with the appropriate laying box. We were also able to reuse materials extracted from the site, particularly by screening the rocky zones of the project on our recovery platform based in Pleyber-Christ. This approach results in a lower carbon footprint and fits seamlessly within our CSR strategy. We strongly support this installation method, especially as we are working in support of GREEN GAS development.

As part of the work entrusted to APK by the operator Proximus, we collaborated with Marais. Arriving from France with their GD2 trenching machine and skilled operators, we quickly and seamlessly completed the trenching and underground installation work in the Ouffet region. In just a few days, several kilometers of trenching were completed across varying terrain types. We enjoyed discovering this technology and the concept developed by Marais. Following the success of this joint project, we are open to similar future collaborations.
